itzy bitzy summary

itzy bitzy patisserie is a small pâtisserie that creates amazing petite pastries, using the best ingredients and techniques we could find.  The company was started by Mitzy Budiono out of her obsession with tasting desserts.  Our first product is the Parisian Macarons, which have received rave reviews and called the best in the city.

An itzy bitzy history

Mitzy started itzy bitzy patisserie simply because she has a sweet tooth, a large appetite, but a small stomach.  Frustrated with wanting to try as much of the desserts and pastries but put off by the jumbo sizes, this idea started brewing.

Then she discovered not all pastries are created equal, most have gone the way of cookie cutters, mass production and pretty looks -- they look nice, until you take a bite and find out it's all presentation with no substance.

Thus itzy bitzy patisserie was born, where Mitzy is able to channel her passion and vision into a reality.  Tiny portions, heavenly flavors.

itzy bitzy patisserie is a play on words of Mitzy's name and the company's focus on small pastries.

Each products is made by hand from scratch using the finest ingredients we could find.  We source our ingredients from both local and international sources (France, England, Belgium, Spain, India, etc.) in order to create products that we believe are the best on the market.  Every batch is personally inspected to make sure it meets our high standards.  We only bake a limited variety of pastries and in limited quantity to give every pastry the best attention it needs.
We try to be the best.

About the Pastry Chef

Mitzy Budiono is the pastry chef and owner of itzy bitzy patisserie.  While growing up, she always had a sweet tooth.  After a career in finance, she decided to pursue her childhood dream of creating sugar bliss a reality.  She went on to study pastry at the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, NY and never looked back.

Over the years, Mitzy has created one amazing creations after another, always with passion and commitment to perfection.  What makes her products stand out is the controlled balance of flavors and textures that makes them refreshingly just perfect.

One of her ultimate dreams came true when she was given the opportunity to learn from master Pâtissier Pierre Hermé, who was called "the Picasso of Pastry" by Vogue magazine.

Always thirsting for knowledge, she continues to learn from other chefs, including some of the best chefs in the US and the world.
